Description

Mulberry House and Mulberry Cottage are a pair of detached buildings located on Watch House Road in Easton-in-Gordano. They date from the mid to late 17th century and have been altered over time.

Mulberry House, which faces south, is rendered with a pantiled roof and rendered stacks. It has two storeys and attics, featuring three gabled dormers. The house has three bays with 20th-century two- and three-light casement windows. There is a two-light casement window in the west gable end that has ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds. A central 20th-century door is set in a gabled porch. Inside, there are stop-chamfered beams and a rear newel stair tower with solid treads.

Mulberry Cottage, facing west and north, is also rendered and has a double Roman tiled roof with rendered stacks. It has two storeys and attics, with a steep stone gable. The east elevation has a single bay, while the north elevation has two bays featuring two-, three-, and four-light casement windows, one of which has ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds on the ground floor of each elevation. There is a glazing bar sash window to the left of the north elevation. The cottage has a central 20th-century door and a lean-to conservatory to the north, along with a blocked doorway to the east. The interior includes stop-chamfered beams and an extended collar beam truss in the roof.
