Description
Lodway Croft is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house and shop. It dates from the mid 17th century and features a rendered exterior with a double Roman tiled roof and brick stacks at each end. The building is two storeys tall with attics, characterized by two steep gables that have plain bargeboards. The facade consists of two bays and a central two-storey porch, with marginal glazing bar sash windows and a plain band above the ground floor. The central entrance has a 20th-century door. Inside, there are stop-chamfered beams and roof trusses that include cambered collars and arch-braces. To the left, there is a two-storey, three-bay wing that has 20th-century doors and windows, an outer stair leading to the first floor, and a corrugated iron roof.
