Description

Wellington House and attached stables is an early 19th-century house. It is located on Station Road, Shirehampton, Bristol. The house has a roughcast exterior, gable-end stacks, and a double Roman tiled hipped mansard roof. It follows a double-depth plan and has two storeys and an attic, with a symmetrical front elevation featuring a parapet and coped gables. The front originally had a central door, now of 20th-century replacement, and 6/6-pane sash windows. A porch has been inserted above the door, blocking the original lintel. Three raking dormers light the attic space. The right return elevation has two windows and a capped lateral stack on the left. The interior has not been inspected. Attached to the rear are stables and a yard paved with Pennant stone sets, which are subsidiary features.
