Description

This is a house, probably dating from around 1830, and possibly incorporating an earlier structure with later alterations. It is constructed of rubble with brick dressings and has a pantiled roof with raised coped verges and brick gable stacks. The building forms an L-shape, with a wing extending along the right return.

The main facade has two storeys and two windows, both sash windows with cambered brick heads and external shutters. A central door is fitted with a 1/2-glazed pane. The gable end of the wing to the right has a sash window on the first floor with brick jambs. The left return features a ground floor fixed light with eight panes, and a roof extension containing a two-light casement window at ground floor. A single-storey lean-to extension to the left has a 2-light casement window.

The right return shows a small, single-barred light, a wide eight-pane light with a timber lintel and external shutters, a Victorian postbox set into the wall, and a first-floor sash window with external shutters and a relieving arch. The rear elevation features sash windows matching the front, a single-storey lean-to with a 2-light casement, and a 20th-century glazed porch. The gable end to the left includes a 20th-century multi-pane window at ground floor and a sash window on the first floor, as seen on the front. The interior has not been inspected.
