Description
The Angel Inn and outbuilding to the rear is a former coaching inn dating from the late 16th century, with alterations made in the 17th century and early 19th century. The building is rendered and features a pantile roof with coped raised verges and brick stacks. It has two storeys and consists of five bays, with 20-pane glazing bar sash windows. There is an off-centre 19th-century door located under a hood supported by brackets. The rear wing connects to an outbuilding that was formerly used as stables and a loft; this section is constructed of rubble and painted rubble, has a hipped pantile roof, and includes a blocked pitching eye along with two blocked windows in the gable end. Inside, the roof comprises four bays supported by three arch-braced collar beam trusses.
