Description

Strawberry Cottage is a house formed by the combination of two cottages, built at right angles. One range dates from the early 18th century, and the other from the early 19th century. The earlier range is constructed of rubble with a brick facade in a Flemish bond pattern. It has a thatched roof, half-hipped in form, with a brick stack marking the junction of the two ranges. The facade has two storeys and a three-window arrangement, featuring casement windows, mostly with glazing bars, and some leaded lights. The later range is of brick and rubble construction, with a tiled roof. It also has two storeys and a three-window arrangement, with casement windows featuring glazing bars and framed by gauged flat brick arches. A plain plank door provides access to the house.
