Description

The parish boundary stone and wall along the north side of Coppice Street date back to 1615. The wall is constructed of squared rubble masonry and stands about 5 feet high. It runs eastward from outside No 26 Coppice Street to a point opposite No 33 Coppice Street, with a break for the entrance to a car park. Embedded in the wall, a boundary stone is located just to the left of the car park entrance. This stone features an incised cross and the inscription "Parish Boundary 1772".
