Description
These buildings at 108 and 110 High Street are likely from the 18th century. They are constructed with brick walls, featuring a stone plinth, quoins, and a string course between the ground and first floors. The roofs are covered in Purbeck stone, with brick stacks that have oversailing courses. The buildings are two storeys high with attics. The ground floor has three modern shop windows and two plain entrance doors. The first floor has three double-hung sash windows set within brick arches, each with a stone key stone. A brick dentil course runs along the eaves. There are two dormers in the attic, each with a pent roof.
To the east is a two-storey section, possibly once a separate dwelling (No. 106). This section is built with Purbeck stone walls and a Purbeck stone roof, and has one double-hung sash window with glazing bars to both the ground and first floors, set within a brick arch with a stone keystone. There is also one dormer in the attic, which is similar in style to the dormers on the main building.
