Description
6 Church Hill is a building dated 1793, with a possible alteration date noted as 1940 on the date stone. It features Purbeck Stone walls that are tooled ashlar and a Purbeck Stone roof. The building has two storeys and a basement. The front entrance is located at ground floor level and is accessed by steps leading to an external landing. At the north end of the facade, there is a stone archway beneath the ground floor that provides access to the rear. The main entrance consists of a raised-panel door set within a classical surround, complete with a pediment and a reeded frieze supported by console brackets. The ground floor includes two double-hung sash windows, each with slightly canted stone lintels. The first floor also features double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, showcasing a fine 18th-century frontage.
