Description
Nos 1, 3, and 5 Church Street are three cottages built in the mid-19th century. They feature rubble-stone walls and slate roofs that are hipped with boxed eaves. There are two brick stacks on the ridge, located at the party walls between nos 1 and 3, and between nos 3 and 5. The cottages are two storeys tall and have a total of seven windows arranged in groups of three, three, and one. The ground floor has three-light cast-iron casements with glazing bars, while the upper floor features two-light cast-iron casements. The front doors are located at the centres of nos 1 and 3, and to the right of no 5; these doors are planked with one glass light and are of 20th-century design. On the side wall of no 1, facing Rodden Row, there is a 4-light casement window with a segmental head and a 2-light casement above it. The building has a rounded corner.
