Description
This is an 18th-century corner cottage located on Rodden Row in Abbotsbury. The cottage is constructed of rubble stone with a rounded corner. It has a thatched roof, gabled at the east end, and a rounded hip where it meets Market Street. A brick stack is located on the east gable. The cottage is two stories high. There are two windows facing Rodden Row and one window facing Market Street. All are renewed 3-light wooden casements with glazing-bars, with the exception of a single 2-light window on Rodden Row. Wooden cills and lintels are present. A 20th-century single-light window has been inserted to the left of the front door. The front door, which opens onto Rodden Row, is a plank door with a single glass light, also from the 20th century. The attached shop premises along Market Street are not considered to have group value.
