Description

The garden wall and piers to Lattice House, likely built in the 18th century, are located on the south side of Castleton Road. The stone wall extends a short distance from the front of the house westward, where it is interrupted by the entrance to a garage. It features square piers topped with ball finials. From the western corner, the wall continues southward to the front of Digby Estate No 8. This structure is part of a group that includes the Church of St Mary Magdalene, churchyard walls, piers and gates, Lattice House, Middle House, and Raleigh Lodge, all of which are associated with the gates at the entrance to Sherborne Castle in Sherborne Rural District.
