Description
The lodge to Whatcombe House, dated 1881, is a two-storey building with a symmetrical three-bay façade. It is rendered and whitewashed, featuring a slated roof behind a parapet and rendered stacks. The central bay is recessed, and the doorway and windows are adorned with moulded architraves that include keystones. The windows are nine-pane sashes, and the entrance has a ribbed door. A porch supported by free-standing columns adds to its architectural appeal. The building also has rusticated quoins and a moulded cornice. There are 20th-century extensions at the rear.
