Description
The Old Rectory is a former rectory, now a private house, dating to the 17th century, with alterations and a new roof in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble-stone walls and has clay-tile roofs with gable ends, and a front gable on the projecting wing. The stacks are rendered, with cornices on the gable ends and at the ridge centre. The house is two storeys high and has six windows in total, with an irregular arrangement of 2- and 3-light iron casements, some with lead lights. Some of the original iron casements have been replaced with 20th-century plastic casements featuring integral glazing bars. The windows have wooden cills and lintels, with some concrete cills. A front doorway, located on the right-hand side of the projecting wing, features a 20th-century fielded-panel door.
