Description

Manor Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which was refenestrated and extended in the 18th and 19th centuries. It features roughcast stone walls and clay-tile roofs with gable ends. There are brick stacks at the right gable, a stone stack at the ridge center, and a brick stack on the gable of the front extension. The building has two storeys and attics, with five windows that include 2-, 3-, and 4-light 20th-century wood casements, complete with wood cills and lintels. The door, located left of center, aligns with a garden porch and is also from the 20th century. A gabled 19th-century extension is present on the garden elevation, along with a one-storey service extension at the north-east corner, which has a clay-tile roof and a brick stack on the end wall. Inside, the central room features an open fireplace with moulded timber jambs and a depressed-arch head, showcasing ovolo and hollow chamfer details from the 17th century. The ceiling beams are also moulded with ovolo and hollow chamfer profiles, and the floors are made of flagstone.
