Description

The Congregational Church, originally founded in 1670, was largely rebuilt following a fire in 1762 and underwent further additions in 1860 and 1895. The building is constructed of stucco and features a hipped tile roof with stone slates above the eaves. It has a triple pile plan and stands two storeys tall. On the first floor, there are three segment-headed windows with glazing bars. A one-storey yellow brick extension, added in 1895, spans the front of the church. This extension has a slate pent roof, a pedimented central feature made of moulded brick, four segment-headed windows, and two planked doors.
