Description
Nos 12 and 14 are a detached house, originally two separate homes, dating from the 17th century, with some 18th century and later window features. The walls are made of lias stone, and the roof is covered with asbestos slate, featuring stone gable copings. There are renewed brick chimneys at both the left and right gables, with the right-hand stack having two set-offs. The building has two storeys and three windows on the right side: two 4-light stone mullions with hollow chamfers and returned labels above, which are from the 17th century. On the left side, there are two renewed sashes with glazing bars, and in the centre, there is a 20th century 3-light casement window. The front doors, located to the left and right of the centre, are 19th century, both being 6-panelled with panelled reveals and reeded surrounds. The west gable wall features two 2-light mullions with hollow chamfers and labels, along with a single-light attic window that has a moulded stone frame and label. Additionally, there is an attached rubble-stone wall that runs for 25 metres along the lane and returns for 30 metres towards no 16, featuring a string and rubble coping.
