Description

Stockford Lodge is a small detached cottage dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, featuring an octagonal plan. The cottage has plastered cob walls and a thatched roof with a central brick stack. There is a lean-to extension on the west side, which also has a thatched catslide roof. The building is one storey with an attic and includes a trellised porch with a ledged door that has simple "Gothic" details. The original windows are of 2-lights with simple "Gothic" tracery and lead lights, although some have been replaced with casements that include glazing bars. The attic features two dormers. The cottage was formerly listed as "Lodge at Stockford Cottage."
