Description
22 and 24 Bell Street are two adjoining buildings from the 18th century, standing two storeys high with an attic. No 22 features two windows and a door, while No 24 has one window-bay and a door. The ground floor is made of rough ashlar stone, while the first floor is constructed of red brick with a decorative diaper pattern created using burnt headers. The buildings have a thatched roof, which includes one thatched dormer. There was formerly a tiled pentice supported by shaped brackets at the first floor level. The first floor has sash windows, and the ground floor has a mix of casement and sash windows, with glazing bars still present in two of the windows. Nos 14 to 26 (even) form a group.
