Description

The dairy, located immediately north-west of Sherborne Castle, is a late 18th-century building designed in the Gothick style. It features ashlar stone walls and a slate pyramidal roof, and is a single storey with three bays. The north front is arcaded and has clustered columns, along with an embattled and pinnacled parapet. There is a doorway at the center. Inside, there are counters and shelves from the late 18th century, painted green and white. Additionally, part of a Roman pavement from Lenthay Common has been reset in the floor.
