Description

Church Cottage is a cottage, likely dating from around 1838. It is constructed of ashlar stone, with a slate roof that is hipped to the right and gabled to the left, featuring a stone coping. A brick stack is located on the left gable. The cottage has two storeys and a two-window front. The windows are 3-light steel-framed casements with horizontal glazing bars. The central doorway has a four-centred head and a part-glazed door. Ground floor window openings are topped with labels that have blank rectangular stops. The building includes fragments of medieval carving, which were probably taken from the nearby church when it was rebuilt in 1838. It appears to be built in a similar style to the adjacent pair of cottages to the east.
