Description

The Foundry is an early 19th-century building of brown brick, originally a foundry. It has a hipped roof clad in corrugated iron. The building is three storeys high, with five ranges of fixed windows featuring glazing bars. Carriage entrances are situated at either end of the ground floor. A loft door is located at the left-hand end of the first floor, with a winch hoist positioned above it. A two-storey extension adjoins the east side, featuring a range of sash windows with glazing bars. The east elevation of this extension contains three casement windows with arched heads and glazing bars, and one flush-framed sash window with glazing bars. A bell and weathervane are mounted on the roof ridge.
