Description
The garden walls to the east and south of Morton's House in Corfe Castle are likely from the 17th century. Constructed from rubblestone, the walls are L-shaped in plan and approximately 2 metres high, with a thicker base and a rounded top. The east wall features a blocked entranceway that is flanked by brick piers topped with moulded-edged capstones, along with later rubblestone buttresses. The south wall contains two entrances, each bordered by rubblestone piers that have table-stones both below and above the truncated pyramidal capstone.
