Description
The Pigeon House is a structure dating from the 15th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It features rubble-stone walls and stone gable copings that have scrolled kneelers, which are from the 18th century. The building includes re-used apex-blocks and has a clay-tile roof with stone slabs at the eaves. There are two dormers, each with two lights, hipped tile roofs, and two metal louvres above them. On the south wall, there are two low doors that are evenly spaced, each measuring 1.2 meters high and 600 millimeters wide. These doors have chamfered jambs and heads, and are made of planks with strap-hinges. The Pigeon House is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
