Description
Lobster Cottage is a detached cottage that was formerly two cottages, originating from the 17th century but significantly reconstructed in the 20th century. It features rubble stone walls, a stone slate roof, and stone stacks, with an L-shaped plan. The building is part two storeys and part one storey with an attic. A projecting wing at the left end has a half-hipped roof. There is an added porch with a half-hipped roof, which includes a 20th-century oak door and a stone mullioned window with casements and glazing bars. In the gable wall, there is one casement window with glazing bars on each floor. The main range to the right has a lean-to extension at the right end, with a part-glazed stable door. The ground floor has two casement windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has one similar window. The attic features one pent-roofed dormer with casements. At the rear, there is a large 20th-century glazed extension.
