Description
No. 5 Lower Bond Street is a mid-19th century house located at the end of a row in Weymouth. It features Flemish bond brickwork and a slate roof, with two storeys and an attic. The front has one window, highlighted by a tall late 19th-century gabled dormer that rises above the original ridge of the hipped roof. Below the dormer is a canted oriel window supported by pilaster mullions, and on the ground floor, there is a single light window with a doorway to the left. The house has a small stone plinth and a coped parapet that rises significantly above the oriel, along with a two-course brick string. To the right side, there is a chimney stack, and the rendered rear wall includes a small two-light casement window at the attic level. The interior was not inspected, and at the time of the survey, all openings were boarded up, indicating that the building is derelict, situated among similarly boarded-up properties.
