Description

Well Bottom is a house, possibly originally a pair of cottages, likely built in the early 19th century. It features ashlar walls and a hipped slate roof, with a central rendered stack. There is a later outshut to the left, a plat-band, and a coved ashlar cornice. The building is symmetrical, standing two storeys tall with a five-window range. The windows are casements with leaded lights, consisting of two lights in the outer bays and three lights in the inner bays. There is a blind recess in the centre of the upper floor. The central entrance has a ribbed plank door. Inside, the house has shallow chamfered beams and open fireplaces with chamfered bressummers.
