Description
Colson House is a mid-18th century building located on Fordington High Street. The house is rendered and features a pitched stone slate roof with coped gables on ashlar kneelers. It has two storeys and attics, with the street side altered except for two attic dormers that have casements and glazing bars. The garden elevation has a slate roof, except above the eaves, and includes a two-storey 19th-century porch with a gabled roof.
The front facade has three window ranges: on the right, there is one casement window on the first floor and a sash window on the ground floor, followed by two sashes with glazing bars on the first floor and French windows on the ground floor. To the east, there is a late 18th or early 19th-century two-storey extension featuring various windows, including one sash with glazing bars in a moulded frame. Additionally, there is an early 19th-century one-storey brick scullery extension at right angles, which has two segment-headed casements with glazing bars and two segment-headed planked doors.
