Description

Bowgrove Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, dated 1704 as indicated by a tablet on the west gable. It is constructed of rubble stone with stone quoins. The roof is slate, featuring prominent gable-copings. Two brick stacks have been renewed, one on each gable. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics, and has three windows facing the front. The ground floor windows are modern wooden casements with concrete lintels and wooden cills. The upper floor windows have moulded stone surrounds and are wooden casements with glazing-bars. A central front door is constructed of plank and muntin, and is protected by a 20th-century porch built of rubble stone with glass sides and a pitched slate roof.
