Description
No. 14 Trinity Road is a house in a row with a restaurant, built around 1870. The front is made of painted brick, while other areas are rendered, and it has a slate roof. The property was completely rebuilt during the Victorian era and features a wide-span mansard roof with a parapet front. It has three storeys and an attic, with three windows that are all plain sashes. The flat-roofed dormers include a central one with paired sashes, positioned above narrow arched lights on the second floor and segmental-headed lights on the first floor, with the central sash being wider than the flanking ones. At the ground floor, there are 19th-century pilasters with bold consoles framing a full-width 20th-century display frontage that has a recessed centre. The rear of the building has four closely set flat-roofed dormers above various sashes or casements, and there are four large gable stacks. The interior has not been inspected. This building is a late but integral part of a group of listed buildings along Trinity Road.
