Description
Nos 23 and 25 Market Place is a three-storey, six-window red brick building that features a later-added upper storey and a new slate roof. The building has sash windows with segmental heads and keystones. It also showcases good Corinthian pilasters at the shop fronts. The name board of No 23, which was previously in raised Victorian lettering, has now been removed. This building is part of a group of listed buildings in Market Place, along with Nos 59 to 73 (odd) East Street, Conyer's Filling Station, Nos 1 to 7 (odd), Nos 2 to 8 (even), No 12 West Street, and the Church of St Peter and St Paul.
