Description
Bagber School House is a school building, now a house, dated 1865. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and features an ornamental tile roof with gable ends and ashlar dressings. The building has an asymmetric composition and is a single storey with an attic. There is a projecting gabled cross-wing on the right side. The windows are two- and three-light stone-mullioned with ashlar surrounds, and there is a two-light 20th-century wooden casement with glazing bars in the roof. A gabled porch is set diagonally between the main range and the wing, with another gabled porch to the left of the main range. A staged stack with ashlar dressings and an octagonal flue projects from the front wall. Additionally, there is a carved stone coat of arms featuring a crown and a dog in the gable of the projecting wing.
