Baron Gates is a cottage, likely from the 17th century, featuring whitewashed rubble walls and a thatched roof that is gabled to the right and hipped to the left. It has brick stacks located on the right and in the center. The building is one and a half storeys tall and has approximately four windows, which are 2 and 3-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. There is a 20th-century part-glazed door set within a wooden porch.
