Description

Hawkins Monument is a mid-19th century table-tomb located 5 metres north of the Parish Church of St Peter, in the churchyard. It is made of stone and features an incised Greek Key motif on plain pilasters, with chamfered bases and a moulded cornice. The monument commemorates Henry Hawkins of Waddon, who died on May 9th, 1865, at the age of 34, and Catherine Young, the wife of Henry Hawkins, who died on December 1st, 1905, at the age of 72.
