Description
Farmhouse. The farmhouse likely dates from the 17th century, and has been altered and enlarged since then. It's built of unpatterned rubble stone with quoins, and is painted white, with a roof of modern tile. The original plan was a single-depth, two-unit design, with a later addition to the left-hand end. The facade is two storeys high and originally had two bays, with an additional bay to the left; it is almost symmetrical. A modern porch with glazing now protects the central doorway. There are two large, modern casement windows on each floor. Chimneys are located at both original gables, the right-hand one projecting to create a stepped gable wall. Inside, the gable wall on the right-hand side includes a large, square fireplace with a chamfered granite surround, and a bread oven on the left side, which is now blocked.
