Description

This is a house with a 17th-century core, expanded in the 19th century with a single-story addition and renovated in the 20th century. The house is built of colourwashed rendered cob with a slate roof, and has a large stone ridge stack with weatherings. The original core is a single depth, three rooms wide. The front has a two-story right-hand projection under a gabled slate roof and a single-story lean-to of slate construction, likely a former shop. The front features a door within the lean-to, protected by a sloping slate roof and a porch wall to the left of the lean-to. Most windows to the left of the front door have been replaced with casements.

The lean-to has a six-pane window to the left of the door, an eight-pane shop window to the right, and a two-pane window in the right return. Other windows are two-light casements with six panes per light. The interior retains a large fireplace in the right-hand ground floor room, and a room behind the stack is believed to have been a former dairy. Principal rafters are visible in some first floor rooms, and some original doorcases remain. The house retains a rear burgage plot.
