Wesleyan Methodist Chapel With Attached Coach Houses

The Wesleyan Methodist chapel with attached coach houses, dated 1850, features squared elvan stone rubble with stone dressings and a slurried slate roof adorned with ridge tiles and gable ends that have raised coped verges. The building has a single auditorium plan, with the entrance located at the front gable end and the ritual space oriented towards the rear. The coach houses are attached to the front left and right, creating a small courtyard.

The exterior displays a front gable end set on a plinth, featuring a central recessed bay. There are 19th-century central panelled double doors with an overlight that has decorative glazing bars, topped by a chamfered round stone arch. The chapel includes round-arched sash windows in chamfered surrounds, with glazing bars and margin glazing above; there are larger round-arched sashes to the right and left, all of which are original. At the apex of the gable, there is a chamfered circular recessed datestone with the initials WMC and the date 1850. Each small coach house on the left and right has a loft above, gable ends facing the front, and features double doors with a 2-light opening above for loading; the right coach house also has a single light at ground floor level. The left and right sides of the chapel have a central recessed bay in a three-bay elevation, with each bay containing a round-arched sash window with later 20th-century glazing bars.

The interior is not accessible, but it appears to include a gallery around the front and sides.
