Description
Sycamore Cottage is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from squared elvan stone rubble, featuring stone dressings, and has an asbestos slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. The building has gable end stacks with brick shafts. The layout consists of a two-room plan, with each room being of equal size and heated from a gable end stack, and a central entrance. The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window front. All windows are 19th-century 16-pane sashes set in exposed boxes, adorned with stone voussoirs. The central entrance features a 19th-century six-panelled door with two glazed panels added. The interior has not been inspected.
