Description
A terrace of five similar houses built in the 1830s. The houses are stucco-faced; number 18 has a roof of scantle slate, while the others have asbestos slate. Brick chimneys rise above the cross party walls. Each house follows a double-depth plan, with a reception room at the front and an entrance hall leading to a stair hall on the left. The two-storey terrace has a 2-window front to each house. The front doors are six-panel doors with plain fanlights, set within semi-circular arched architraves. Stucco rustication is present on the architraves of numbers 18 and 20. The windows are late 19th-century four-pane sashes, and the doorways of numbers 18 and 19 feature stucco rustication. Interiors, where inspected, retain original details such as panelled doors and shutters, moulded architraves, and carved ceiling cornices and bands. The property is included on the list for its group value.
