Description
This is a headstone commemorating Bessie Skinner, located 16 meters to the west of the tower of the Church of St Endelienta. It dates from 1878 and honors Bessie, the daughter of John and Harriet Skinner of Port Isaac, as well as Amelia Skinner. The headstone is made of slate and features a pointed top with a trefoil cusped panel. It is decorated with intricate Gothic carvings. The inscription includes the verse: "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth but The word of our God shall stand for ever."
