Description

CAMBORNE SW 63 NE 8/11 Ruined engine house approx. 75 metres south west of Count House at King Edward Mine GV II Engine house to former stamps, now derelict. Probably later C19; partly collapsed. Large dressed granite blocks, brick arches to windows. Rectangular plan with bob wall to the south. Round-headed bob-wall window with stone voussoirs; in west side wall, 2 round-headed windows at ground floor and one above; east side and rear walls mostly collapsed. Part of South Condurrow Mine not taken over by Camborne School of Mines. Included for group value, being a prominent landmark close to King Edward Mine.
