Description

The Queen's Head Hotel is an early 19th-century building located on Market Street in St Austell. It is constructed of stucco and is positioned behind No 1 Market Street, with elevations facing both Market Street and North Street. The Market Street elevation features three storeys, with two windows on the first floor and one on the second, all fitted with sash windows that have glazing bars. The ground floor has a Victorian saloon front, complete with a moulded cornice and pilasters. The elevation facing North Street includes a wide panelled door and a porch supported by fluted Doric columns, with part of the upper section slate hung above the ground floor. The building has a slate roof and is included for its group value with No 1 Market Street and the Market House.
