Description
This is a house dated 1839, with some 20th-century alterations. It is built from slatestone rubble with granite quoins and dressings, topped by a hipped slate roof with ridge tiles. The house has an axial stack with a rendered shaft. The layout consists of a two-room plan, with each room heated by back-to-back fireplaces served by the axial stack. There are single-storey outshuts on each side; the right side features a porch, while the left side has a scullery/kitchen that includes an oven.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical two-window front. On both the ground and first floors, there are 19th-century 16-pane sash windows with flat stone arches and keystones on the right and left. A central datestone is present. The single-storey lean-to on the right has a 9-pane sash window at the front, along with paired 20th-century 16-pane sashes and a 20th-century door on the right side. The left lean-to features a 20th-century 16-pane sash at the front, with another 20th-century 16-pane sash on the left side and an oven projection. At the rear, there are two 20th-century windows at staggered levels and a 20th-century door on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
