Description
Erth Barton features two L-shaped barns, one located to the east and the other to the north-east. These barns date back to the 18th century and are constructed of rubble with some brick repairs, retaining wooden lintels in part. They are both two storeys high and have slate roofs. The roofs are designed in an L shape with hipped ends, but they do not quite interlock. The barn to the north has two openings on the first floor on one side and two on the other, while the barn to the south has two openings on one side and four on the other. Each barn has a variety of openings on the ground floors and at the rear. These structures are an important part of the Erth Barton group.
