Description

This barn, now used as a store, dates to 1825, as indicated by a datestone. It is constructed of stone rubble and cob, with a rag slate roof and gable ends. The building has a rectangular plan, likely featuring shippons (animal shelters) on the ground floor and a loft above. The exterior is two stories high. The asymmetrical front elevation includes two small openings at ground floor level, and a plank door and window opening above. A datestone on the right-hand gable end bears the inscription 'GB 1825'. The rear elevation incorporates stone rubble steps leading up to the loft. The barn forms part of a group of buildings with the Old Hall, Treburgett.
