Description

The tombchest of John Robinson is located 1 metre to the east of the north transept of the Church of St Tallan. It was likely created in the mid to late 18th century in memory of John Robinson of East Looe. The tombchest is made of stone rubble and features a thick slate lid. The lid has a marginal inscription in upper and lower case lettering with serifs, although the lettering is partly eroded, it is of high quality.
