4/241 Lych gate at approx 40m west of Church of Saint Mylor

Lych gate. Circa early C19, re-roofed in 1928. Shale rubble with dressed granite animal grid, quoins and coffin rest. Dry Delabole slate roof open at eaves and at each gable end and with oak bargeboard with flattened ogee and cusped chamfering. Square-on-plan with side walls only (north and south) and parallel central coffin rest flanked by filled in cattle grids and recessed stone bench to each side. Roof structure is oak with arch braced truss at either end. Part of a group with the church, the detached tower and its churchyard monuments.
