Description

This is a 17th and 18th century stable, part of Trereife Manor. It is constructed of uncoursed rubble, with a slate roof and hipped form, incorporating gabled dormers. The windows are closely spaced, with seven to the front and four to the side. The front features a porch with pilasters, console brackets, a projecting pedimented hood, a semi-circular fanlight, and panelled reveals around the doorcase. A granite mounting block is located at the front to the left. Inside, a contemporary staircase with panelled square newels, a moulded string and rail, and twisted balusters is present. There are also panelled rooms with moulded plaster ceilings and fireplaces. The openings are defined by a single string course, with rough, flat arches. The side elevation displays ogge-headed glazing bars and two dormers.
