Description

No. 1 Albert Quay, together with No. 34 Fore Street, is an early 19th-century building. It is constructed of painted brick with a stuccoed ground floor. The building is three storeys high and has an irregular fenestration pattern, with a total of five windows. These are sash windows with glazing bars. A tall stair window features a semi-circular head. A wide door is set within a panelled pilastered doorcase with a cornice. The elevation facing Fore Street has three sash windows with glazing bars and a small Victorian shop front with a moulded cornice. The roof is slate and hipped. The building is included on the list for group value, along with the adjacent No. 2.
