Description

The Andrew Monument is a headstone located in the churchyard approximately 6 metres west of the north aisle of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of slate. The monument features a nowy head with an unusual carved primitive head incised at the top. It also has good lettering that includes a valedictory quatrain dedicated to Samuel Dixon Andrew, who passed away in 1778.
